- Book forest safaris on the official Karnataka Forest Department site well ahead.
- Forest roads close to private traffic at night (roughly 6 pm–6 am) — plan to arrive before dusk.
- Wear muted colours and carry binoculars.
- March–June has the best sightings as animals come to water.
